Jeff’s investing activities span Arboretum’s target sectors with an emphasis on early-stage medical technology companies. Jeff currently serves on the board of Boomerang Medical and AtaCor Medical. Prior to joining Arboretum, Jeff spent 13 years with Hatteras Venture Partners where he co-led the firm’s medical device practice. He was an Arboretum co-investor in Dropworks when it was acquired by Bio-Rad Laboratories in 2021. Previously, he held board positions with Cardiosense, Endogenex, and 410 Medical, and supported investments in Contego Medical, Rapid Pulse, Iris Healthcare (acquired by Aledade), Bivarus (acquired by Press Ganey), Standard Bariatrics (acquired by Teleflex), and NurseGrid (acquired by Healthstream).

Jeff began his career at Medtronic as a clinical specialist and sales representative focused on spinal implants and image-guided surgical tools. Prior to joining Medtronic, Jeff spent time in training camp as a quarterback with the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys. He previously served on the Oversight Committee for the National Football League’s Head Health Tech Challenge.

Jeff earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and an MBA at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, with a focus on healthcare and finance.
